  9. This program converts ppm, pgm and pbm files to IFF-ILBM
  10. with support for AGA graphics modes. Binaries to convert 
  11. between JPEG and ppm are included. To convert other formats
  12. you will need the NETPBM package available on Aminet.
  13. Source in C/Asm is included.

  15. The advantages of ppm2AGA:
  16. - very high quality in the HAM8-mode
  17.   (better than some commercial programs)
  18. - processing pictures that are larger than the available memory is possible
  19. - saving to the Clipboard is possible
  20. - colormaps with full 24 Bit color precision are supported
  21. - the source is available
  22. - runs on all Amiga's  (even with KS 1.2/1.3 if iffparse.library V37 is
  23.   available)
  24. - together with the NETPBM package almost every picture format can be
  25.   converted
